Man Walks in Multiple 3-Day Breast Cancer Walks: Raises 70K

Barry Blauer has walked in 28 3-Day Breast Cancer Walks. It is estimated that he has walked 1,680 miles and raised $70,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
In this year and the previous year, he walked in all 12 3-Day walk events held across the country. The walks are each 60 miles.

Big O Tires Supports Race for the Cure

For several years Big O Tires, headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, has participated in the Denver Komen Race for the Cure.

New York American Cancer Society Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk Raises $706,000

The American Cancer Society held a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Queens, New York on Sunday, October 21st. The 5-mile walk was held along Queens Boulevard and began and ended at Queens Borough Hall.

Litchfield, CT holds First Annual American Cancer Society Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk Raises $75,000

More than 1,000 walkers participated in the first-ever American Cancer Society Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk held in Litchfield, CT on Sunday, October 21st. The walk raised $75,000 for breast cancer research and programs. Approximately 65 to 75 cancer survivors joined the walk’s efforts.

North Carolina Store Holds Fundraising Walk to Raise Funds for Breast Cancer

Broyhill Home Furnishings in Lenoir, N.C. sponsored a 3K fundraising walk to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Long Island, NY American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk Raises $2.7 Million

The American Cancer Society held their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at the Jones Beach State Park in Jones Beach, New York on Saturday, October 21st. Approximately 50,000 people participated in the event. $2.7 million was raised for breast cancer research.
