Fall is the Perfect Time for Southwestern Charity Events
Although I’m a Midwestern girl at heart, I’ve fallen in love with the Southwest, where I now live. Fall is one of my favorite seasons because there are plenty of places to witness the seasonal colors, yet the weather is mild and perfect for walking, biking, and running.
Not surprisingly, fall is a busy time for charities in the Southwest – many hold outdoor athletic fundraisers well into December because of the comfortable temperatures and minimal (if any) snow on the ground.
If you live in the Southwest, or you’re thinking of visiting soon, here’s a rundown of just some of the charity events taking place this fall. Click on the links for more information or to register.

Let me know if you participate in any of these events! I’ll be at the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk, and maybe some others. I’d love to hear your feedback about these Southwestern fall fundraisers.

These events all sound like fun, but I would love to add one more! On November 1, 2008 is the Walk to Cure Diabetes in Pheonix AZ. This event supports JDRF. I am able to support JDRF year round with my give2network toolbar, and then to attend the event is so great to really see the importance of the cause. Happy Fall!
Thanks, Lauren! I hope you have lots of fun at the event. I also encourage others to add their events to this blog, since I couldn’t include very many due to space constraints.
