Guest Posts

Would you like to share your ideas with other readers on the Charity Mile homepage blog? We’re looking for guest posts that highlight your personal experience either training for events, fundraising for a charitable cause or both!

Topics Ideas

Viewing the categories in the sidebar at right will give you an idea of what we’ve published before and the general style.  Here are a few topic ideas to consider….

  1. Reflections on training for your first marathon, 5K, cycling event, etc.
  2. Running, walking or cycling training; nutrition or general fitness
  3. Fundraisers that you’ve done for Relay for Life, Race for the Cure or any charity athletic event
  4. Your “reason why” story — why you chose a particular cause and event to participate in
  5. Advice for someone who is planning a run/walk event or other fundraiser based on your own event planning experience

Guidelines

Please read the guidelines before submitting your post:

  • Posts must be original, written by you.
  • We prefer articles that have not been published already on other websites. Though we occasionally will make exceptions to that.
  • Always link back to source information if quotations are used.
  • You may include relevant links within the body of the article (within reason).
  • Do not include affiliate links in the post. Instead link back to a page on your website that has your affiliate promotion.
  • Please include a short “about the author” or bio and link to your website so that can be included on your author page.
  • Be sure to check before sending: spelling, grammar, facts and working links.

Content that we do not accept

We do not accept guest posts of these types:

  • Topics outside the category of athletic events, charity events and nonprofit work
  • Infomercials or Advertisements
  • Press releases
  • PLR Articles

How to submit your article

Email us via the contact form and let us know what you’d like to write about and why you think it’s a good fit. We’ll get back with you, usually within 48 hours, with a response. If accepted you may send the article in Word format or in the body of an email, or if you are comfortable with Wordpress we can provide further instructions on how to enter the article yourself.

Thanks for sharing your experience and expertise with fellow Charity Mile readers!
