How to Choose a Charity Run / Walk Event

How can you get in great shape AND support a worthwhile cause? By participating in one of the many runing/walking events held across the US and around the world.

There are lots of great reasons to join a charity run/walk. It may be that you want to loose weight and get in shape. The idea of travel to an exotic location might excite you. Or maybe you have a strong belief in a particular charity. When you join a charity run/walk, you’ll find all these benefits. Plus have lots of FUN.

When deciding what kind of program to enter consider your current fitness level, time availability and amount of coaching that you feel you will need.

There are two basic kinds of run/walk programs. Follow these links to learn about each type of program:

  1. Endurance events such as marathons, half marathons, and triathalons
  2. Short distance events such as 5K races, 5K walks, Walk-a-thons and fun runs.
