Information about Charity Walk, Run and Bike Events

The second annual Nash-Rocky Mount Alzheimer’s Memory Walk was held on Saturday, October 6th. The walk has raised more than $33,000, $3,000 more than the anticipated goal of $30,000. The walk was held at Nash Community College in Rocky Mount, NC.

The event began with the National Anthem performed by Allison Sykes. The event included individual walkers and teams (corporate, non-corporate and health care). The top individual and corporate fundraisers were recognized and thanked at the Memory Walk.

Funds from the event will benefit families who face Alzheimer’s in the Nash County area. Benefits are also given through the Eastern North Carolina Alzheimer’s Association that include free information, seminars, training program, a toll-free HELP line, support groups and counseling.
