The San Diego Zoo expects more than 3,500 participants to attend their Walk on the Wild Side event. The walk allows participants to visit the zoo before it opens to the public. Participants are given an event T-shirt, goodie bag, refreshments and enjoy live entertainment and an expo after the walk.

The walk benefits the Zoological Society of San Diego. It begins right in front of the Zoo and ends at the War Memorial Building in Balboa Park near the entrance of the San Diego Zoo.

Participants can register online, Adults register for $30, Children register for $29. The walk is appropriate for all ages.
