Team Hole in the Wall
About Team Hole in the Wall
According to their website: “Team Hole in the Wall is a grassroots, web-based approach to generating funds in support of the mission of Hole in the Wall Camps, the world’s largest family of camps for children with life-threatening diseases. Athletes who participate in marathons, bike races, 10K runs, triathlons and other events are inspired, empowered and given the necessary online tools to raise funds for a Hole in the Wall Camp in their part of the country or internationally. It’s a great way to stay in shape, meet people, have fun and, at the same time, help some pretty special kids as they face the toughest challenge of their young lives.”

Team Hole in the Wall AngleRide
The AngelRide is a two day, 130 mile bike ride across Connecticut. The 2008 AngelRide, which took place on May 27, helped to raise over $350,000 for the charity. The funds raised at the AngelRide, and all Team Hole in the Wall events, help to support the Hospital Outreach Program at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp which is located in Ashford, CT.
The 2009 AngelRide, which occurs on Memorial Day Weekend, takes place on May 23 and 24. The fundraising minimum for the AngelRide is $1,000 per cyclist. Riders age 8-15 commit to raising a minimum of $100 each.

Here we are into the second day of Spring and in the corners of my hearts hibernation I have thought of The Hole In The Wall and peaking through …. perhaps wanting to visit such a spirited place, that I am sure we all feel in some way connected to. I don’t know how I can give or serve, but would like to know.
I live in Milford by the Sound not far from Paul Newman’s other home. The radio has shared these days the Memorial Day event coming up. Kindly respond where I might add something to fill a hole in some capacity.
I am an art therapist of sorts…have put together a few events at the Capitol…Hartford that is…to pass bills to protect our children from cancer causing and other ill health issues with toxins..etc.
I ” had” cancer in my breast, found in 86 and survived with a smile on my face and am grateful that there are people like Paul Newman who knows there is always a place for gratitude and giving in the living…and to be humble is divine.
I can be reached better my email and my home phone, when not on line. 203-874-3437
Hope to hear for someone soon.
Good afternoon, Joyce
